The basis of all existence
The essence of our salvation
The One who lives within
Fills our lungs
And causes us to breathe forever.
I was going to write this post yesterday, I was charged up and all but when it was time to put pen to paper, I got stuck. (Oh yea! I normally write down stuff on paper before typing lol. Moving on…)
So I watched a movie, it’s called Fathers and Daughters, and even when it was getting late and I knew I had to be up early for church. I was so determined to finish up.
It’s about a girl who lost her parents when little and felt empty inside, she didn’t know how to fill it up and found comfort in having one night stands, you guessed right, those didn’t work either. She finally came across a guy who fell in love with her despite her flaws, even when she felt so unworthy of it. Then something happened, she cheated on him and he gave up on the relationship at that point, they later got back together but his action at that point got me thinking. I compared this human nature to that of God which is true love. A love so strong, so pure and genuine! Even when we “cheat” on God, He never gives up, never leaves our side, He’s ever present with His arms open wide to welcome us back, always willing to forgive and see past our flaws. Always coming after us.
Until some weeks back, I would say the only constant thing in the world was change, but one day, during a fellowship, someone said, “The only constant thing is the love of God.” And there is so much truth in that, the love of God does not change, has never and will never change.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:35-39 KJV
Dear friends, no matter how dirty you feel, how unworthy, how bad you feel, God loves you. Jesus loves you soooo much and salvation is proof of this; it is for all men, both Jew and Gentile. His will is that ALL be saved because He loves us. Glory to God!
I have written about love before but I won’t stop because there’s always new knowledge to share. Two topics I’d always write on, over and over again, are “love” and “salvation”.
I’m growing in love daily, I’m not perfect in anyway but I make it my life goal to love as best as I can. Check out my other posts on love and salvation;
