Knowing Him and making Him known…

Dear Believer || What Do You Do With Growth?

Hello guys! How’re y’all doing? Great, I hope. A while ago, I spoke on love, yet again. If you follow my blog, you would know I really love this topic. So I spoke on letting love find expression, you can read all about it here.

Moving on to today’s topic, we would start with this prompt: “Dear believer, what do you do with growth?”

I am sure sometime in our lives, we just tried to avoid this sister or brother who would want to push their growth down our throats and make us feel bad about not going anywhere. You know, the assistant Holy Spirits? Hold on, I’m not trying to throw shades or bash anyone here but it’s true, it happens. That, my friends, is pride. Now there are two things a person does with his/her growth:

  • Teach others, therefore strengthening their convictions, helping others grow and expressing love.
  • Being proud about it. Feeling you can not be corrected and you know it all.

Let me let you in on something friends, Galatians 6:3 says, “For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.” (NKJV). I like how AMPC puts it. It says, “For if any person thinks himself to be somebody [too important to condescend to shoulder another’s load] when he is nobody [of superiority except in his own estimation], he deceives and deludes and cheats himself.”
The body of Christ is a family, one cannot simply live without the other. It would be senseless for the eye to simply think it doesn’t need the ears anymore. Or for the hand to think it doesn’t need the eye. Nobody should exalt themselves before others because, not only is it a thing of pride, but it also might just hurt the other party you should be helping. This is totally different from someone being jealous, by the way.

So where am I getting with all this? Do not let pride get in the way of your growth. Think about what you’re doing with it, make sure you’re helping others with it and not bringing them down by feeling you’re so over the top. We should all do this, learn to help people grow and to grow with them. Also a quick reminder that if people are intimidated because of your growth and feeling they aren’t up to your standard, learn to encourage them and let them see that there is no standard as everyone is growing, but by no means should this make you stop growing.

I really hope I helped someone out there. Please like, comment, share and subscribe/follow my blog if you aren’t already. I love you and God is crazy in love with you.
